2nd Lacto-fermented Vegetables Workshop in Penang

Poster!

Alhamdulillah, yesterday's event went smoothly.

Thank you to IKRAMBelia/Wanita Pulau Pinang (Barat Daya) especially to Lin and Kak Noor Suhaimi for the wonderful hospitality.

Hopefully, we will be able to organize another similar event in the future. Let us spread the awareness of healthy eating the right way through the traditions, which had been practiced by our ancestors in the old days.

Among the vegetables: Cabbage, Carrot, Celery, Coriander. It is best to wash all the veggies with filtered water to avoid bactericidal effect of  the chlorine to the good microbes.
(bactericidal =  can kill bacteria)

Flavouring condiments: Dried chillies, black pepper and mustard seed.
Other than these, you can use whatever spices to flavour your lacto-veggies such as ginger, garlic, curry powder, star anise etc. Be creative.

Lets begin ya class?

Ok take a break. Say cheese to the camera......

All of us had so much fun. We shared experiences, knowledge, and even cultures opinion in healthy eating. 2 hours seems not enough right? Yup, there are still so much I would love to share.

Group photo from left: Kak Ummi Noorzilah, Wani, Kak Faizah, Kak Noor Suhaimi, ME, Kak Fariza, Daphne. Not in the photo: cameralady --- Lin. Thanks guys.

Star of the day.
Kombucha tea was also there. Aha!

To Penangites or nearby (Kulim/SP) & Putrajaya/Puchong/Kinrara/TTDI Jaya, if anyone of you are:

*interested to join this kind of workshop
*determine to change your way of eating towards healthy eating by going back to the traditions
*interested to repair your gut microflora
*interested to learn how to prepare your own home-made probiotic (which is much more cheaper and contain a lot more species compared to commercial ones)

Feel free to contact me at diniehasnor@gmail.com or my FB (NorDini Hasnor).

Till then see ya.

Stay Healthy the Right Way
